Preschool Philosophy

The Preschool Program at South Roanoke United Methodist Church emphasizes proper social adjustment through positive interaction with peers as well as the development of self-confidence and responsibility within a group setting.

Our innovative curriculum stresses the necessary skills for a successful kindergarten experience.  Eye-hand coordination is strengthened through physical exercise and developmentally appropriate motor skills in the classroom during work and play.  Science experiments, ecology studies, pre-reading and math skills are taught throughout the program.

South Roanoke United Methodist Preschool strives to maintain a learning experience for each child in an atmosphere of Christian love and understanding.  All children are welcome regardless of race, creed, religious or ethnic background.
