Worship Music
Worship and music have had a close relationship in all the history of the Christian church. Every great period of revival has involved the use of music to speak the message to the people. The choir is an extension of the congregation, not an isolated group of performers. Their good singing, as representatives of the congregation, is the result of hard and consistent work to praise God with worthy music, well done. One bishop has said, "The choir is doing what every member of the congregation would do if he had the talent and the time to do it." As a volunteer organization, we depend on people with ordinary musical abilities who are dedicated to this most extraordinary form of worship.
THE CHANCEL CHOIR: Our dedicated adult choir leads our congregation in the morning worship hour through music. For special seasonal emphasis the choir presents large choral programs with instruments. The choir views its mission as one of service to God through the leading and representing of the congregation in musical praise. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 p.m.
HANDBELLS: The handbell groups are an important part of our music ministry. These groups are open to those interested in ringing and willing to pledge themselves to faithful attendance in rehearsal and performance.
