SRUMPS Director
Mrs. Kailyn Bear
Director of SRUMPS and Member of SRUMC.
Kailyn studied at VCU earning a Bachelor's in English and Master's of Teaching PreK-6th grades. After teaching a few years, she and her husband Michael started a family and have two children, Kensington (14) & Davis (12), both SRUMPS Alumni! Kailyn believes that the preschool years are the building blocks for successful elementary days. "The time spent playing and cooperating with peers, are the most important early
skills children learn that follow them for years to come."
In her free time (hahaha) she enjoys seeing live music, playing pickleball, and crafting.

Miss Elizabeth
Miss Elizabeth is an MDO Co-Teacher and has taught Preschool for 20 years. In addition she has 26 year old quadruplets of her own. She and her husband Bill have been married for 35 years. Elizabeth loves serving God through teaching his and your little ones.

Miss Julia
Miss Julia is the MDO Co-Teacher. She is happily married and a dedicated step mom to a wild and growing boy. Her husband is the executive pastor at their church, where she serves as the kids ministry director. They enjoy long walks through their neighborhood and taking drives along the parkway or around town to look at local historic homes. She has a degree in early education from Virginia Western and another in Christian Counselling from Liberty University. She has worked in childcare for over 14 years, serving in various roles from teaching to management. She loves serving the kids of South Roanoke United Methodist Preschool.

Miss Marisol
Miss Marisol is a Two's Co-Teacher. She graduated from Northside HS with an advanced diploma and attended at VA Western, earning her Early Childhood Education certificate. She has been working with kids for 12 years not including her 4 younger brothers! She is married and has a 2 yr old son at SRUMPS. She is in her 7th year at our school.

Miss Kendall is a Two's Co-Teacher. She has been with SRUMPS for five years and really enjoys children! She has a son, and he plans to attend preschool this Fall!

Miss Cox
Miss Cox has been with SRUMPS for 18 years, she is a Four's Co-Teacher . She has her Associates degree in Early Childhood Development from VWCC. Teaching young children fills her soul with sunshine. When she's not teaching, she loves hanging with her son and pup while enjoying live music, dancing, & good food!

Miss Logann
Miss Logann is a Four's Co-Teacher. She is currently studying Elementary Education at VA Western with plans to transfer to Radford to complete her Elementary Education degree! This is her first year at SRUMPS, but she has many years of experience taking care of children. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s walking through her neighborhood, hanging out at the pool, playing pickleball/softball/basketball, or hanging out with her family!
